The all-electric T6 bus was developed and built by Durot Electric GmbH. The van has 8 seats, all-wheel drive and a range of 400 kilometers.
All-wheel drive
The T6 Electric is powered by two 100 kW electric motors. Both motors act directly on the respective axle via a transmission with integrated differential. For optimum traction in all driving situations, both drives can be controlled independently.
The immediate torque of the two electric motors gives the vehicle unrivaled dynamics even when fully loaded and in trailer operation. At under 8 seconds, the T6 Electric accelerates faster than any production bus and better than most passenger cars.

Long-distance suitability
In local and urban traffic, ranges of over 400 km are easily possible with the T6 Electric. The 86 kWh battery is still enough for a remarkable range of 300 km even on the highway at a speed of 120 km/h.
Thanks to its long range and versatile charging options, the electric bus can be used in all kinds of areas.

Charging options
The T6 Electric can be charged at any public charging station with a Type2 Combo plug (CCS) with up to 62 kW. Via the CCS connection, the T6 Electric with the appropriate charger can also be used as a solar storage unit for your own home.
In addition, an onboard charger with 22 kW is installed. This gives the driver the freedom to recharge the vehicle in a useful time at any power source, whether at home or on the road.

Security
No compromises were made in terms of comfort and safety during the development of the vehicle. Thus, all controls from the original vehicle are still fully functional and immediately understandable. In addition to the infotainment system, another display has been integrated to control the functions of the electric powertrain and provide a transparent and appealing overview of its status at all times.

Development
The T6 Electric was developed and built by Durot Electric in St. Gallen. The focus was on range and payload. When fully loaded with trailer, 200 km range should be possible. The interior of the vehicle had to be reserved for the load.
All work steps such as overall system design, construction and production, electrical integration and wiring, software development, commissioning and approval belong to the core competencies of Durot Electric GmbH and could be impressively demonstrated with this project.
