Testing-as-a-Service Hardware-in-the-Loop (TaaS HIL)

Hardware in the Loop Testing-as-a-Service at Durot Electric

With virtual test scenarios, realistic simulations and comprehensive testing options, our system ensures accelerated development, greater security and better software.

The advantages of HIL testing

By stimulating and simulating the HIL and the control systems, the I/O configurations of the system can be tested in addition to the software functions. This simplifies commissioning on the live system and shortens troubleshooting on the hardware. Functional enhancements or hotfixes can be checked quickly and easily with the HIL, thanks to the reusability of the test cases, before they have to be tested on the target system.

Data from the simulation environment can be manipulated at runtime via the simulation interface. The HIL Stimulation Interface also allows the I/O signals to be manipulated before they are forwarded to the control system. Due to the structure of the HIL, errors can be generated in object or sensor data (simulation) as well as in data transmission (stimulation). Recorder data or trace recordings are used with the stimulation interface of the HIL for any repetitions of virtual test drives.

Technical data of the HIL test system
  • Prepared test benches for the TTC 580 and TTC 2390 control units
  • Additional control units can be easily integrated
  • Proven hardware with a very low failure rate, specially developed for control unit tests
  • 24V or 12V supply with terminal control
  • CAN interfaces with remaining bus simulation (static, record & repeat, Simulink model)
  • LIN interfaces with remaining bus simulation
  • Ethernet interfaces with communication simulation
  • Stimulation of digital inputs including various error manipulations (open loop, short to gnd, short to bat)
  • Stimulation of analog inputs (voltage, current, resistance) with various error manipulations (open loop, short to gnd, short to bat)
  • Evaluation of digital outputs including various error manipulations (open loop, short to gnd, short to bat)
  • Evaluation of analog outputs including various error manipulations (Open Loop, Short To Gnd, Short to Bat)
