The DC bus controller transforms the conventional power distribution unit (PDU) into an intelligent component with current and temperature measurement, pre-charging and discharging functions and industry-standard diagnostic services. The controller is extremely flexible and can be adapted to different requirements. The integrated software also enables advanced diagnostic and analysis functions, such as dynamic load calculations for fuses or predictive maintenance models.

Simplifies integration
All the functions of a PDU are controlled by the DC bus controller and made available via CAN. No complex cable harnesses to the PDU are required.

The control system contributes to the functional safety of the overall system and meets the highest cyber security requirements.

The component enables model-based power control based on the thermal state of the vehicle. It enables intelligent control of DC charging.

Application
The DC bus controller is our electronic control unit that is suitable for various applications in electric vehicles. Its flexible architecture allows it to be used in components such as power distribution units (PDUs), DC charging interfaces or battery disconnection units. Thanks to the flexible internal interfaces, the functions required for the various applications can be implemented with expansion boards.

Extensions

The functions of the DC bus controller can be easily expanded by adapting it to your product requirements. The DC controller board can either be used in parallel via the expansion interface or the additional modules can be connected via the aux port. Multiple boards can be connected as a daisy chain.
