For safe and efficient power distribution in high-voltage vehicles with a wide range of functions. Our PDUs can be used for almost any transport and machine area – configurable with a DC bus controller for functions such as current and temperature measurement, pre-charging and discharging functions and diagnostic services in accordance with industry standards.

Intelligent control

With the DC bus controller gives the conventional Power Distribution Unit (PDU) an intelligent component for using various functions:

OPTIONS

Plug connections

Thanks to a wide range of options for plug connections, each PDU can be adapted to the application and product maturity. Cable glands are well suited for an early stage of development and simple implementation of HV cabling. Plug-in systems are advantageous if no complex assembly steps need to be carried out during production.

Housing

Every area of application and every batch size has a housing shape that is ideally suited to the situation. We work with our suppliers to produce cast, sheet metal or milled enclosures to suit the requirements.

  • Standardized cast housing (various manufacturer sizes to choose from)

  • Sheet metal housing made of aluminum or steel (size as required)
  • Customized milled cast housing (for maximum design freedom – specifically developed for complex solutions)

Sensors & actuators

Thanks to specifically selected sensors and actuators, the fuse box becomes a smart, highly integrated element of the drivetrain. Durot Electric is the ideal supplier for the implementation of safety-related functions in particular.

  • Active interlock – generation of the interlock signal in accordance with LV123 and secure communication via CAN

  • Internal interlock – internal evaluation of plug connections and secure communication via CAN

  • Passive interlock – interlock signal is provided at the LV connector for evaluation

  • Contactors, optionally with precharging – For DC charging or for connecting a power take-off (PTO)

  • Temperature measurement – For precise control of the available power

  • Voltage and current measurement – up to 16 current measurements with the DC bus controller

Our products meet the highest safety and reliability requirements: they comply with relevant international standards and offer additional protection up to IP6K9K or other individual additional validations on request.

  • ISO 6469-3:2018 compliant

    • AECQ-100 automotive electronics compliant
    • ECE R10 compliant

PDU for various areas of application

The PDU was developed for use in high-voltage systems in vehicles vehicles and machines. It ensures safety, efficiency and modularity in the electric drive train.

The high-voltage interlock is an important safety element in the PDU, which acts as a protective function and switches off the voltage in the entire circuit if necessary.
